Recite as much of the NCO CREED by memory! Here I go! (I no lookied either, sergeants honor :)
No one is more professional than I! I am a noncommissioned officer, a leader of soldiers. As a noncommissioned officer I realize I am a member of a time-honored corps, which is known as the backbone of the Army.
Competence is my watchword. My two basic responsibilities will always be uppermost in my mind: accomplishment of my mission, and the welfare of my soldiers. I will strive to be the best leader I can be, to seniors, peers, and subordinates alike.
Officers of my unit will have maximum time to accomplish their duties. They will not have to accomplish mine.
Ugh :(. Really thought I remembered more, but I haven't seen, heard or read it in at least 7 yrs ! GOOO!!!!!! Depending on Interest level, I may award a real prize!!! NOW YOUR INTRIGUED, YES SERGEANT!!! Also share NCO CREED FROM OTHER BRANCHES IF YOU JARHEADS, FLYBOYS AND SQUIDS DONT MIND :). Thanks! Please don't whine if offended by terms of endearment above, I'm kind of Old School for a 40 y/o veteran. Got hazed by 3 star general receiving EFMB and by wife with SGT Stripes, lol! That lil Mexican gal of mine hurt way more than General Funk!! ;). Have fun!
