Sucked. And sucked badly.
Some reasons why:
1. Dream sequences: there were at least two too many.
2. Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. God. What a terrible choice.
3. Affleck did a pretty decent job as Batman - a pleasant surprise - but the fight scenes were so heavily choreographed that they should have shot them with a lesser frame rate to speed them up. As it was, they were wooden and looked pretty bad.
4. Gal Gadot steals the show as Wonder Woman... and gets about 6 minutes of screen time.
5. When did Superman and Batman just start killing people routinely? That is not who they are.
6. Justice League cameos by other characters were forced in. Better to have them be Easter eggs than 30 seconds of teasers for the next movie.
7. Jeremy Irons was a solid Alfred.
8. The final fight vs Doomsday. Shades of the most recent Fantastic Four movie. And that is a very apt comparison for most of the movie. The scripts and tempo are very similar.
9. I won't spoil it, but the puppetmaster is unmasked because his henchmen use bullets made of proprietary metal? What is wrong with lead?

This was the worst movie I've seen in quite a while. Rotten Tomatoes has it about right.

While I agree with the points you made, I came to a different conclusion. I didn't feel like any of the bad points were deal-breakers. I don't think that Jesse Eisenberg did a bad job, I just think he had a bad script. This was definitely not my favorite incarnation of Lex Luthor. For your 5th point, Batman was very changed by the loss of one of the Robins to the Joker and Superman is the version depicted in the latest Superman movie.

Best movie review I've ever read. If there was a show called "1SG Movie Reviews", I would neglect important duties to watch it. Every time.

I enjoyed it. To the critics and quasi-fans that have panned it I ask this question: Are you the same people that were so in love with the Avengers movies? Cause if so, this flick was no cornier than they were.

Its not. It pulls a lot of influence from Dark Knight Returns and another story arch... Which I can't say cause it would ruin the suprize ending of the movie.
