What advice do you give junior members of the military to improve their evaluation?

I look at the evaluation in three parts. The first is overall job performance. The second is community involvement. The third is personal and professional education. I believe that focusing on those three areas a well balanced evaluation can be written.

I think job performace/continued qualifications are important. If a sailor has time to conducting community sevice he must be fully qualified in all areas.
