Here is a link to the recruiting page with the prerequisites. http://www.usarec.army.mil/hq/warrant/prerequ/WO180A.shtml LTC Yinon Weiss mentioned most of them in his post below; the major one is first you have to be a SF NCO. This means when you are eligible you have to go to selection and be selected, then pass all the phases of the Q-course. Then you go to a SF Group and serve on an ODA for a minimum of three years, perform at a high level, stand out amongst your peers, and get recommended by your Company, Battalion, and Group Commander to become a SF Warrant Officer. Bottom line, you have about 7 years of hard work before you can even consider it, so worry about being an awesome enlisted soldier and putting yourself in a position to achieve this goal.

Also, as a SF Warrant Officer I'll provide you with a bit of mentorship. When you type Special Forces Warrant Officer in a google search the first link is the one I posted above. Therefore, I would not include a statement like I am looking for information and can't find anything. RallyPoint is a great place to confirm and ask those really pointed questions, but do good research both on and off the site. As a SF soldier, and especially a SF Warrant Officer, you must be resourceful and posses the ability to operate autonomously. Good luck with reaching your goals and please do not hesitate to reach out to me on RallyPoint when you start thinking about selection.

Very well said. I completely agree not that I know what I'm talking about.

Gonna take a wild guess that being accepted as a WO for Special Forces comes with the requirement of having experience in the field.

If that's the career path you want, your first step would be speaking to a Special Forces recruiter.

That is absolutely correct. You must first become a GB, then apply from within the Regiment.

You don't need to have multiple 18 series MOSs anymore, but you do need to go through selection, spend time on a team, and have multiple years tenure (I think 3 at a min) on a team before applying for SFWOTTC. The requirements are minimal now, but you still have a long way to go before you're eligible...good luck moving forward.
