Has anyone ever been stationed at Guantánamo?

I'm considering a one-year, Army-sponsored Cuban "vacation" and I'd appreciate any insight people may have as to what life is like at Guantánamo.

Have been TDY a few times, but never a full short tour, it is a beautiful country if you know the right places to go.
