Football teaches you running, how to work as a team, how to focus during chaos and how to psi orders from someone above you.

AN Letiece White One grandson played football for 12 years. He takes direction well and is a confident young man.

Another one, did no sports, dislikes being directed, plays computer games many hours of the day/night and weighs in excess of 300 pounds. I need to challenge him to loose a 100 pounds and to enlist in the USMC. I won't, it would be just add another issue for him to ignore!

I'd say Track and Field as well as Cross Country. I know many people who can't even run a mile. So this will help get them used to long distances and the sprinting events will help develop speed. Then there's the throwing events which will help upper body strength.

The sport does not matter as much as being physically fit. Having the right mental attitude about finishing anything that you start is the most important element.
