Has anyone received VA Form 10-10EZR? Could you please explain why?

Kim Bolen RN CCM ACM - There is a reason. If the form is in the VA's hands then the VA has a case for saying a previous claim was abandoned.

Did the Va abandon the claim? or is this just another way to say Deny and or appeal a medical decision? Or is this, and outlier or A new trend?i It appears something similar to Obamacare. where you must renew annually?

So say the former Veteran applied for disabilities that were denied that had symptoms congruent with those in the Lejunne study. The VA previously denied those claims as "not service related". But the Veteran filed the claim in 1992. The VA might be forced to pay back pay for service connected disabilities if the Lejune study info was related to a previously denied claim that is now valid. SOOOOO the VA gets the Veteran to "renew" a claim and now has the paperwork to say to a judge that the Vet gave up earlier so now it is a "new" claim.
This would help eliminate back pay issues.
