Where can I find the Published Orders of the Award that was received

Yep, I want to find the DA Form 638 that was approved for a specific award

Unhappy answer: You likely can't. It's IPERMS, your personal records, or your file at the unit.
Given that you are asking, and I read the other day that you were reviewing your records already, personal records is out.
IPERMS online is likely out as well 638s are only SUPPOSED to be permed if the recommended award was downgraded. (I would still check - you never know...)
As you have been out 9 years, I would be AMAZED if anyone still had a copy sitting around. Bureaucracy can sometimes be your friend - the S1 forgot to purge their files, the recommender kept a copy, etc. But I don't see it happening after this long of a gap.

It would be in your iperms. Have you talked to your s1 shop about it?

I am no longer in the Army, been out about 9 years. Was hoping to find a digitized copy somewhere online that holds awards.

oh got it. in this case I think it will be tough to get. I would check human resources command just in case?
