I've never heard of it, however I was a fitness instructor prior to enlisting and have spent a great deal of time researching "diets" and supplements. In my honest humble opinion, supplements other than a daily vitamin are a huge waste of money. Weight loss, for both men and women come down to very simple things.
1. Diet - Diet doesn't mean calorie counting, it doesn't mean starting yourself, and it doesn't mean only eating vegetables. A "diet" is whatever you eat on a day to day basis. There are good diets and bad diets. However, a good diet would be eating less refined foods (cutting out soda, chips, and cookies) That doesn't go without saying that you can't have these things, but portion control is key!
2. Portion control - Your body is like a furnace. You don't want the fire to almost die before you put wood back in.. fueling your body through out the day will keep it burning hotter and producing more energy. The concept of "3 meals a day" may work on paper, but it is far from ideal. Eating smaller portions every 3-4 hours is ideal. You will lose weight faster doing this.
3. Activity - Less than 2% of Americans get the recommended 18 minutes of cardio exercise a day.. You want to increase your heart rate to at least 55-70% of your maximum heart rate and sustain this for 18 minutes.. Early morning workouts will fuel the body throughout the day. There is a big difference between Aerobic and Anaerobic exercise. Believe it or not, when you're working out and out of breath, you're working too hard. At this point you're burning calories and simple sugars - NOT fat... keeping the heart rate lower (where you can still breathe through your nose if you had to) burns FATS! Weight loss occurs faster for people who fast walk than sprint.
4. Water - Nearly 0% of Americans drink the recommended amount of water per day. I buy a 1 gallon jug of water that I cane easily carry around and refill and drink this throughout the day. Ensuring the body has enough water will keep it working properly, will alleviate many aches and pains. Skin clarity will improve and so will overall health. You should be going to the bathroom several times a day, not once or twice. Drinking 1 glass of water right when you wake up and waiting 15-30 minutes before eating or drinking anything else will also ensure the body functions properly!
5. Avoid alcohol! An occasional glass of red wine has many health benefits, but you should avoid beer. Beer, though delicious (in my opinion), it definitely a weight loss killer. An occasional glass of whiskey isn't bad, but drink it in moderation.

6: Extreme diet that works:
- I have personally examined and experienced this diet myself and it definitely works. Though it is not a "forever" diet, participating in this diet 2-4 times a year will only provide benefits. It is a 30 day diet/cleanse. I suggest watching SuperJuiceMe for more details. However, it is a juicing diet. You purchase fruits and vegetables and a juicer. You essentially will juice - removing any fiber from the food, and drink these throughout the day (5-6 glass a day). You will eat nothing else. The body will learn ABSORPTION vs DIGESTION. For the first 3-5 days this will make the body feel as though it is starving. The body will also go through withdrawal from the toxins and drugs (refined sugars) it is used to having. However, even after 3 days, participants will see a drastic loss in size. The body will begin to return to a baseline point. Blood pressure will steady out, and many problems that doctors prescribe pills for many start to dissipate. This diet requires an extremely dedicated mind and perhaps external support. Consult a doctor prior to beginning this diet.

Great advice. It's tempting to believe that a supplement can make all the difference in the world, however in the end it's always going to come down to what and how much you consume and how much you exercise. My own experience is that the primary advantage of supplements or health club memberships is that you've put more "skin in the game" and are more likely to be disciplined so that the additional money your spending isn't wasted.
