I wanted to start a thread devoted to the false eMails that keep showing up in my inbox. We all get them, and they're crafted elicit an emotional response so we will forward them without checking facts.
I'm hoping to create a place to educate and possibly reduce the amount of SPAM that clogs everyone's inbox.

Houston Store owner closes on 9/11 to honor 9/11 terrorist:
{{In Houston , Texas Harwin Central Mall: The very first store that you come to when you walk from the lobby of the building into the shopping area had this sign posted on their door. The shop is run by Muslims.

In case you are not able to read the sign below, it says,
"We will be closed on Friday, September 11, to commemorate
the martyrdom of Imam Ali."
Imam Ali flew one of the planes into the twin towers.}}

There is a Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS), which does coordinate a federal pension with Social Security.
Members of Congress are eligible for a pension at age 62 if they have completed at least five years of service. They are eligible for a pension at age 50 if they have completed 20 years of service, or at any age after completing 25 years of service. The amount of the pension depends on years of service and the average of the highest three years of salary. By law, the starting amount of a member’s retirement annuity may not exceed 80 percent of his or her final salary.
