Assignment vs promotion

I currently have a COT for Hawaii and just got a report date. If I make the next SFC list (2015) would that jeopardize my assignment?

Take your promotion, Hawaii is an awful place to be stationed. If you do end up coming here, I wish you more luck than I have had.

It may. If there are no SFC slots for your MOS there, they may have to send you someplace else. Now if you're going to 25ID, I'm sure they can find you a job....

Yes, if selected and no assignment is available in Hawaii for a SFC, you can lose your assignment.
