I think it's actually a better question if you think of it the opposite way: "what Civilian devices are being used by Army HAZMAT teams." After 9/11 and the stand up the the CST's, the DoD pushed to make our HAZMAT teams more compatible with our civilian counterparts so that in the event of an MCI, for example, we could be fully integrated into their units and incident command systems.

To answer your question, MultiRae's, Ahura, and IRTD's are great examples.

If you mean JCADs, AN/VDR-2, AN/UDR-14, or pretty much anything painted in CARC, not that I've seen. If you've seen the Identifinder or MultiRae at the IRTD or on mission, civilian teams use those. Also I've seen them use HazmatID and the Ahura First Defenders depending on what their mission was.

No idea what the MultiRae, HazmatID, or Ahura is. I didn't know there was a 14. I've only seen UDR-13's. Never really used them, though. I assume that also includes ACADA, and PDR-75/77.

The devices were designed for both civilian and military uses. The civilian market is where the manufacturers make their money since the military is a finite market. If you want specifics send me an email via my webmail account. Some information regarding the public sector's capabilities does not need to be shared due to OPSEC.

It's mostly for general knowledge. I like to ask questions in quieter tags on RP every once in a while. Thanks for your input, though.
