SGT (Join to see) good read and share, I think we are at risk, we need to take this epidemic seriously and do preventative measures for our safety.

As soon as a first world nation is affected by a virus, there is usually a vaccine developed in a few months. Just like H1N1.

My concern is a mutated virus that is carried by our mosquitoes.

Zika has been found in several states. None has proven to have been transmitted by way of the mosquito that carries the virus. This is the first instance of a possibility of said transmission. We are more in danger from the returnees from the Olympics than the mosquito itself. All that have contracted the virus have been to countries that have the virus and mosquitoes or had sex with someone that has the virus, without protection. If it does come to the USA by way of these mosquitoes or a mutation, which is not uncommon with a virus. Over a billion dollars has been distributed to a variety of research agencies to combat it. The same mosquito carried yellow fever, then was the last time you heard of that here. I'm far more concerned that some crazy radicalized ISIS attack will get me before Zika, and I'm not real worried about that.
