Should we deploy our National Guard soldiers to secure our borders?

If you have watched the news in the last couple of days illegal immigration from the southern boarders is being broadcast everywhere. Many people have differing opinions on if we should grant these refugees, illegals, or whatever term you use amnesty. Is illegal immigration as big of a problem as many people are making it out to be? Do we need to deploy troops to protect our southern boarders? Is there truly one right answer to the problem on should each decision be made on a case to case basis?

I erroneously put down 'duplicate thread' at first - I couldn't find an existing thread to link it to, but this has been asked numerous times in the the "what should we do about the border" type questions.
