Maj (Join to see), it has been almost a year since you asked this question. Until today I had not heard of this book the mother gave to the young paratrooper. I suspect that most of those who read the book were part of "the greatest generation" which fought in WWII. Since those veterans numbers are dwindling, I truly hope that many were influenced by that book, the Bible and other similar ones to surrender their lives to our Lord and Savior.
