What are the necessary steps to get an Army Reservist (TPU) enrolled into a FAST Class?

If they are deployed they just walk into the education center. I am teaching a FAST class now.

Sir, LTC (Join to see) he is not deployed. He needs to raise his score to reclass as 74D. Closest Army installation to our reserve center is 4 hrs away at Ft. Knox.

Don't they have to go to the education center to be tested to see what areas they fall into then they will be set up for FAST classes, testing takes a few hours and then you sit down with a counselor and classes are set up in a few weeks.
