What is the best degree for a civilian job in Supply Chain Management?

Wondering what the best degree's are in for Supply Chain Management or Logistics that are more of specialized in demand that pay 90K+ starting out. Going back to school and trying figure out which area's I should invest my education in so that I can maximize my income and opportunities once I graduate. Additionally any certifications highly recommended.

The degree is but a part of the process, then there are the Certifications for Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Process Improvement, Supply Chain, etc. But the key is networking now. You may have a degree in X years with a 50k debt but no connections into the market.

Thank you sir, I was mainly looking for any areas those with similar experience would suggest as far schooling as I am currently already an Ops Manager but want to make sure that when I'm in school that I'm making the best choices for a degree either in Supply Chain or Logistics so that I can maximize future opportunities.

SSgt Paul Esquibel - OK. Got it now. I'd get a mentor in the business first. I don't think a piece of paper mounted within a frame will matter much. If you are in the career then you are well on your way and way ahead of me with a Bachelor degree and two Master Degrees.
To answer the original question. Seek a broad logistics degree then I'd get specific qualification in supply chain, distribution, warehousing IF your career branches out that direction.

I'm pursuing business with a concentration in logistics since my school doesn't offer over in logistics and supply chain management.

Depends on which sector you plan on working for. If you are interested in Federal employment then it doesn't even matter what your degree is in, but $90K a year starting isn't realistic in most cases. Most entry level jobs in the Federal service are around the GS-05 to GS-07 level which equates to $30ish-$40ish a year depending on locality. However, that is only entry level, progression can be quick. I went from GS-05 to GS-12 in 6 years. I cannot speak to the private sector as I have never worked in Logistics in that arena.

No sir, I'm looking more into the civilian sector, I already have my 15 years of Supply Chain and Logistics Management from the AF, I am going more of using those skills plus a degree to tap into the most profitable market of Supply or Logistics. At this time I'm already and Operations Manager for a 3rd Party Logistics Company but I'm always trying to achieve more.
