Is it possible to transfer from National Guard to Active Duty after a NG deployment?

One of my coworkers was telling me since I'd already be on active orders they'd just transfer me to an active unit. Is this correct?

The program where you submitted a packet while mobilized to transfer to the Regular Army ended a few years ago. You will have to demob, ask your chain of command for a conditional release and process with an Army Recruiter for enlistment through MEPS. Best of luck!

Yes, you can either ask your unit to do an extended active duty tour, or you'll have to talk to a recruiter to transfer to active duty
