I'm attempting to get into the Warrant Officer Flight Training program and I need an age waiver as I am currently 33. Does anyone know how to do that? or at least where I can get started?

Hi James,
Im kind of in the same boat. All the forms are here: http://www.usarec.army.mil/hq/warrant/index.shtml

This briefing page has a list of good points of contact. Ive reached out to people on here and they are super helpful!

In the reserves we start all with retention NCO as they deal with this in special missions. Do you have career manager or retention/WO recruiter? Those are the ones that will know where to start for sure.

Thanks for the input. I ended up sending an email to the Fort Hood Warrant Officer Recruiting office to get some clarification. They directed me to the template for the initial request on the Warrant Officer website, but I was curious if there was anything else required on my end before sending the request to USAREC. And I was also hoping someone might have an example of a request they wrote that was accepted so I'd have an idea of what they are looking for. But so far, it seems like one of those things that's like the summary on your Warrant Officer Resume. There isn't an example, but you have to clearly and concisely convey why the Army should make an exception to policy for you. I sent in my request two days ago, so here's hoping it pans out! Thanks for the input though. I'll be sure to keep the community posted on the outcome in case this topic surfaces again.

Well James Meissner,
It seems I am currently in the same boat as you are. What happened? Hopefully you made it into the program. If you don't mind will you be willing to shine some light on the age waiver for me?
