So, it's been mentioned again that ISIS is looking through social media, cross checking with phone books, and is set on finding military families and slaughtering them.

Poor little goat loving terrorists must not be tracking that social media works both ways. The ISIL/ISIS facebook page is easy to find, though it's more of a common interest page. No pictures, big events or anything...BUT you get the link of who all has liked the page...and for a majority, their name, picture and location. You can even search for your city.

How about being proactive?!?!

Here you go: https://www.facebook.com/search/ [login to see] 0041/likers

Here's a list of some major cities, and people living there (claiming to at least) who support ISIS. JUST IN CASE anyone wanted to know...

Nashville, TN

Dallas, TX

Chicago, IL

New York, NY

Los Angeles, CA

Look them up in phone books, show up unexpectedly and give them a health dose of freedom.

SSG Jacob Wiley An excellent cautionary advisement. All the more reason for us to seek to be allowed to carry our arms at home, to and from and at work! Come support arming the armed forces!

Seriously, though, SSG Jacob Wiley, that news story (I heard it on the radio today) is troubling and should have all of us - especially active duty, but also veterans - tightening up our OPSEC posture on social media. We have a tendency to be very open with things, which is great for networking and sharing experiences. Unfortunately, it can also be bad news when it comes to things like this, crime, etc.

True story chief. I got (I'm sure most did) an email on my outlook pertaining to this, going into further deal. As a precaution - no more wedding pictures (married in ASUs), no more "here's where I work"... just another peckerwood in cowboy boots playing on a computer.

Good. I have new shotgun ammo I'd like to try.
