Carlos Lopez What is your Ear, Nose & Throat Doctor telling you about this condition? Have you talked to a Recruiter about it? Good luck with your enlistment. Which branch are you joining?

Carlos Lopez - I would have the Doctor write that letter. Have you talked to an Army Recruiter?

yes, thanks for responding btw I just found out and texted my recruiter, but I've been training for a year and a half so I won't sleep until I know where I stand, I read somewhere that a waiver is unlikely if the condition is chronic or current, is this true?

Carlos Lopez - I do not know. I would obtain the letter from your Doctor, and see what the recruiter has to say. Good luck!

It sounds like you are reading the same thing that your recruiter will have to go by when it comes to your condition. He may be able to apply for a medical waiver but if you are already reading what the medical board will use to determine your chances of getting a waiver you may want to have a plan B in place. Good luck.
