If I was active duty then immediately joined the guard and now I'm back on active duty does my time in the guard count as broken service?

It doesn't count as broken service. But your DORs and PEBDs have been changed.

Yup, as long as the dates are seem-less. Weird that you went from AD to Guard then back to AD.
