2LT (Join to see), Zorb ball soccer is the way to go for something really "different", MWR can normally help get these for you, just plan with them in advance. Great cardio and you can put the Commander on their ass without retribution....

What is an officer PT session? Do you mean an Officer-led PT session, or a session where a bunch of Officers are PTing?

One of my favorite things to do with my Marines was Playing Card PT. Take a deck of cards, each suit represents a different exercise. The number card represents the number of repetitions. Each person draws a card and that's what they do. It's a fun little game for small groups because each person each person gets their own break off. For a larger group, I might shuffle a couple jokers in the deck so when the joker gets drawn, we shuffle the entire discard pile back into the main deck (minus the joker). It's always amusing when you see someone get close to the end of the deck and they pull a Joker card. Also, I let my Marines pick the exercises. It's funny when people pick their own method of body slaying.

Every month, the officers in my BN get together and do something cool and creative for PT. It's mostly for the LT's to network and get to know each other.. and also for the BN commander to feel us out. So I guess the latter.. (some officers get together and do pt).

In that case, I would consider something like a competitive circuit course.

Friendly competition is one way to get a feel for people.

Marines have a thing called the Combat Fitness Test. You can look it up for the specifics. But I've done that in a relay race style format. It can be a break off, but it's always a good time.
