There are many amazing TED and TEDX Talks that have every day applicability to the military. Thank you so much for sharing.

I would challenge any and all out there to watch as many TED Talks as you can, if they are interesting keep watching to the end, if not find another. Also RSAnimate have some great eye-opening stuff.

I agree. TED Talks are a great way to never stop learning. Even the quick items that don't necessarily seem relevant, can be useful. I love Inc.com too. They have some really short but insightful reads. And 99U...they have a distro with links to articles.

Lt Col (Join to see), thank you for that great link!!! My, how Professor Kennedy must have been received at Stanford, of all places, with a talk on the military and service to our country. This quote, at the very end of his talk, struck me: George Washington said in 1783, "Every citizen who enjoys the protection of a free government owes ... personal service to the defense of it."

Great TED talk! Thanks for pointing us to it!

It's amazing how much information, and useful perspective he put into just a few minutes of video. I had my 15 year old son watch it too.

That was a very eye opening talk. Thank you for posting. I suppose that on some level I knew much of what he discussed already, but I had not reasoned through to the consequences. Unfortunately, I doubt there is any politically palatable solution to the problem.

I hope veterans exiting service today begin to look to politics. Perhaps better congressional representation by veterans is the only way to force the country into making better decisions.
