I only ask because our DS said that the subdued badges were out of regs and that we needed to buy the shiny badges.

The story I got "growing up "was they all needed to match. if you had the fancy greens with the stay brite buttons you needed the stay brite badges and vice versa

"out of regs" is pretty black and white. is it too much to ask for a citation or do we continue to perpetuate "well thats how it was when i was in your shoes"
