Why would AFN RADIO be on a European radio station in kaiserslatern area? Most people being an American car here, which has an American radio! Great job informing the local nationals what's going on in the army.

Aren't car radios receiving the same signals, regardless of national origin? I know that the Japanese radio in the Toyota I use gets the British station in Kabul as well as the various Afghan ones. I would think that the AFN station in Germany would be similar - broadcasting radio waves on, well, radio frequencies. If they're FM, any FM receiver would get them. What I am missing in your question?

The radio station is 100.2. Most American radios only pick up the odd decimal numbers.

I guess I'm so used to driving a Japanese car here and in the States, I had no idea. I notice that most (all?) stations are on odd decimal places, but here in Afghanistan our Toyota's radio picks up odd and even decimal stations. Is it that US car radios won't pick them up, or that in US there are few stations that aren't on odd decimals? Regardless, I thought when we would get the German AFN station in Bahrain back in 2003 it was on 100.2 - or is this new?
