I would have ACAP be a progressive course as opposed to the current 5 day's and you're good program. Have transitioning Vets come back through at scheduled times to check on transition progress, job search, and resume development.
I've heard quite a few former Soldiers tell me that ACAP was a "check the block" class for out processing and that it didn't help them at all (most cited the cursory class on "resume building" being a waste of time).

Good feedback.
Earlier today I saw one SNCO asking on RP about when to complete his VA claim; that information was covered in the ACAP I attended. Both my initial and current position are a direct result of ACAP related activities.

CW5 Robert L. Huffman, my one issue as a veteran is to not allow "them" to jack up the TRICARE premium. When I joined up, in 1975, it may not have been in writing, but I joined with the understanding that I would have medical care for life if I put in my 20 and retired. I put in 30, and ever since I've retired, there has been talk of increased TRICARE premiums. The premiums have gone up slightly, but some of the proposals I have seen are way higher than what we've seen to this point.
My suggestion / request is to continue to fight the good fight to hold TRICARE premiums where they are.

The cost and access to health care remains the greatest concern of the retired community. Every year in the CSA RC report you will see health care addressed up front.

We have one team of four members that are focused solely on addressing health care and health care related issues.
One possible means of keeping out of pockets low is the use of Express Scripts for maintenance drugs. If you are able to stick to generic drugs these are at no co-pay.
I will continue to address all CSA RC issues that RP members post to the best of my ability.

If I could present one issue to the CSA RC what would it be the disparity of support of Army Reserve soldiers in comparison to the two other components of the ARMY (RA/NG/AR)? The Regular Army has the entirety the Army supporting and protecting them. The National Guard has the NGB and 50 Governors. The Army Reserve has a Lieutenant General.

We do have one member that is retired from the USAR to represent the specific concerns of our Army Reserve Soldiers. Our local Retirement Service Office (RSO) services all Active, Guard and Reserve Soldier issues and will do their very best to address "retirement" issues for those from other branches of the military.
As for Family Members and Spouses, that is outside of our charter.

SFC John Mikelson Actually CASAs work for the CSA. AR Ambassadors work for the CAR. Unfortunately, when the Ambassador program was created, it was supposed to be civilian representatives who support the AR and took the AR message to the community. It has become the old General's club in which retired AR Generals go to hang out and it does little to support the AR by getting the word out to the communities. Its very unfortunate.
