I had CPP certification a few years ago, but don't know if it's still current. The company paid for me to get certified when my then boss was President of the local chapter. Because nuclear security is so regulated and pretty specialized, I can't say that it was of tremendous benefit to me, but it was interesting (and intensive) and would have looked really good on a resume if I had wanted to switch specialties. It did occasionally give me good ideas for different approached and different application possibilities to some potential problems, and good access to others in the security world. I'd say go for it if you're thinking about it. It is really good if you ever consider going as an independent consultant.
