An article came out today in the New York Post, and apparently, due to shrinking military size through the current reduction in force where thousands are getting pink slips even while they are on the front lines in Afghanistan, the military is going to be recalling those same people right back onto active duty. Thoughts?

Here's the link to the article: http://nypost.com/2014/10/22/welcome-to-the-new-back-door-draft/

That's a kick in the teeth, SFC (Join to see). Can you imagine being one of those poor souls who is RIF'd, only to be called back to man a mission in Africa or Iraq or Syria? Talk about low morale!

That's a very interesting article, and this paragraph tells all, in my humble opinion:

"Political expedience coupled with a serious lack of leadership in the White House and Congress has led us to this precipice. Everything is reactionary, and nothing is planned, when leadership is unwilling or unable to make decisions absent political considerations."

Back door draft, indeed.
