I kinda feel like hurricane Nate snuck up on us. Anyways, I'm just a slightly concerned family member. Have a great weekend everybody!

Having grown up in south Louisiana I can tell you based on the size and intensity of this storm and where it made landfall, JRTC got about as much rain as a typical summer thunder shower. Nothing to worry about.

They should be fine. I live east of Ft. Polk (central Mississippi) and all we got was a little rain. Not much at all. Nate hit the coast and immediately headed northeast missing all but the coasts of Mississippi and Louisiana. Alabama bore the brunt of the storm.

I was there this past June. They won't keep your family member in the box if it's seriously life threatening. They have shelters that they can get to in a reasonable amount of time.

I hope it misses them. He told me this morning "there is no hurricane" and I don't believe they have plans to leave the woods at this point.
