I'm looking to have a thread dedicated solely to the flow of BOSS (ideas, suggestions, advice, etc...).

Well I have to be honest I had to google what BOSS was. I would say the biggest thing is stop trying to set people up on dates and make it more of a fun event that all can enjoy without feeling like it is speed dating. Pool night, casino night, and others that all can enjoy instead of items that you would do on a date night such as movies, etc.

One of the few perks of being married, never having to be a BOSS representative. I know if I was single i'd volunteer for it though.

LTC (Join to see) BOSS does much more than that, sir. Some recent/upcoming examples for my installation: we just completed a massive haunted house that was open to anyone. Upcoming is a Zombie Run and a mystery trip. They also do things for the community. Veterans Day we are making a trip to the local Vets home to visit and help out there. Also as the rep I'm supposed to be the liason between single soldiers and the installation command as far as improving quality of life. Couple of examples I've had a few people voice issues with the hours of operation for the gym, that it closes too early. Another is barracks. If the barracks manager can't/won't fix an issue then I can take it to the appropriate authority to have the problem resolved.

SGT (Join to see) sounds like you are busy and take it very serious. Glad to hear that and good luck mixing it up to keep everyone as comfortable and happy as possible.

LTC (Join to see) I wish I was busy. The Pres and VP of the program are the ones who come up with most of this. I think I'll have to explain my role next time I brief the company. I think everyone thinks my job is to just parrot information.
