SGM (Join to see), I definitely remember the draft, but I'm just a little too young to have had a number. The draft was all over the news, along with Vietnam, when I was growing up. (Also, draft dodgers, draft card burning, fleeing the draft by traveling/moving to Canada ... just a couple of things the draft reminds me of.)

I had a high number and would not have been drafted in 1972-75. I remember when my roommate in College was drafted! I was also in ROTC but he was not.

I remember the draft in fact I received a greetings from Uncle Sam in February '66. I went ahead and enlisted.

I have to be honest here. I was a draft dodger.
I enlisted at 17 and did not get a draft card until I was 21 and it showed me as a 4A. A year 1968 later I reenlisted and put my draft card away. Came across it when we moved a few years.
