Can you legally make one of your troops change their answers on an ACA?

I have a troop who put some unprofessional answers under the "Knowing your Airmen" section on their midterm ACA. Can I legally make them change their answer

First off im kinda curious as to what they put. As far as "legally" no. Technically that could be falsifying official documents or coercion. You can omit things though.

Sure, why not. However, I recommend that this one, and all future ACAs, be filled out, or updated, by you during the session. This way you are in control of the input and the ACA serves as a way to facilitate discussions between rater and ratee. Now don't get me wrong. You can send the ACA to the ratee and ask them to fill it out and return it to you prior to the session. The benefit to this is that you can better prepare for the session. Even if you use this method. Always update and modify as needed while you conduct the ACA. Then what I do is print, sign, and scan the ACA.

Though its not how I was taught, I like to sit down with my troops before we do the actually session and go through the "know your airmen" section first. This way I can gather a better understanding of what he/she is looking for out of the air force. This gives me a better idea of standards to establish for each troop. Especially for new troops whom I don't know. I'm not going to set outrageous standards/expectations for someone who just wants to do the time and get out. That is setting them up for failure. Everybody is different and that needs to be taken into account

Regardless of how we’re taught, you are doing it correctly SSGT VanHulst. That is leadership 101 right there. I wish you were in my unit, you have excellent leadership sense.
