Hello there everyone, I have searched the vast internet for some pros and cons on 31a and I have found very little information. There is a ton of information on 31b, but I am sure that these two are very very different. If you wouldn't mind to drop your two cents below on what you think the pros and cons are I would greatly appreciate it.
On a side note, can you guys also give a brief overview of what your day to day life is? I am curious as to what all a 31a does throughout the day. Whether its do paperwork, patrol the streets with their soldiers or whatever.
One final request and i will wrap this up. What time do you guys TYPICALLY start your day when do you typically end your work day? Thank you all in advance!!

Most officer branches will be similar day to day as being a platoon leader of an MP platoon will be similar in many ways to a Infantry, Truck, or Ambulance platoons.
Most likely you will spend 90% of your time doing regular field army stuff. Additional duties maintaining and training for the field mission. Occasionally you will do law enforcement. Usually as the MP Duty officer in charge of the MP patrols for a period of time. One advantage of MP is you can get law enforcement credentials for off duty pistol carry.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Most officer positions in the Army will always have more of a managerial role and less of a boots on ground role. And in the MP field they work around the clock, 24/7/365. It is very hard to say exactly what hours you might have.
You are an Army officer first and foremost so a lot of what the other branches do you will do. As a company-grade officer you will have the opportunity to be a hands on leader to your troops and I have found it very enjoyable.
Another pro is that you have the opportunity to gain experience in law enforcement, corrections, security, and leadership. You can do many different disciplines throughout your career. I also had the opportunity to become a non lethal weapons instructor and to train/certify hundreds of Soldiers.
