After MEPS, do you go straight to basic training or come home?

If it's to pre qual into the service, you go home afterwards. Your last stop prior to going to basic training will be at MEPS.

Ryan Welch - I guess you are heading to basic? You may have an opportunity to participate in recruiter assistance program (RAP) after you complete basic and job training. You should also be able to take leave if you have any at that time. Branch of service has a say in it too. I was able to go home and do the RAP program and use a few days of leave before I headed to my duty assignment.

It depends on why you going to MEPS; are you going to just test, physical or enlist? Then you go home but if you are going to basic then you wait to get shipped off!

Absolutely do not remove them. You earned it. I don’t have one but I like to see the right shoulder of those who do.
