10 weeks long. Red, white and blue phases. Treatment is just like basic training. Yes there’s a “shark attack”

You have a ways to go before that opportunity comes. Stick to your primary MOS for now and ask again in 8-10 years.

I can't really say about Army DS school but the USAF school is really a more intense form of basic with teaching exercises thrown in for good measure. At least that's the way it was in 1975. 1/3 of the time on the drill pad. 1/3 in the house (clothing, displays, housekeeping, etc.) 1/3 teaching exercises. It was a tough school but it was also the best most rewarding duty I ever had.
