I don't like it. We need to stop worrying about the rest of the world and focus on our own nation. No more foreign occupations, no more directly or indirectly funding "rebel" groups, and no more letting the media antagonize nations like Russia.

You put a significant number of boots on the ground. You mount a massive offensive across the country to get the enemy pushed back on their heels and roughly consolidated... then you make it start raining MOABs.. You've got to handle it like Japan in WW2 because you're fighting a radical ideology. If you break the will of the people holding that ideology, you win.
Trying to fight a war and playing politics at the same time isn't going to win you any wars. Indiscriminate violence of action will.
