Does anyone have any info on mos 25R. How long does it take to get secret clearance to go through?

Former 25R here. I believe it took me only two months for my clearance to come through (I'd have to find my ERB to be sure). I enlisted right out of high school though, so there was not much to go off of. I'm going to assume that you are looking to enlist as a 25R? If you have any other questions I'd be more than happy to give you my personal experience! Good luck!

Hello PFC Hernandez ! My son is Ait for 25r in a few days. We have very little info on this mos & its training, my son was reclassed in to this mos from 68w. He seems very excited. What can he expect & what was your first duty station. There is not much info on this Mos, any advice would be very helpful! Thanks

I got a felony when I was 17 but case was sealed and expunged after I did my community service and paid restitution, I am 20 now and I have already been through meps and I have signed my contract as 25N and I ship out to basic in June , will the fbi investigator find out about my juvenile record or am I good ? I didn’t tell them at meps cause the recruiter and station commander told me to lie about it , but I want to hear from someone else

When I was in S-2 in an ADA battalion many men required a Secret clearance just because of what Air Defense Artillery people did on a regular basis. It seemed like most of the guys in-processing straight from AIT had a Secret from AIT and getting the real world clearance would only take a short time with application and fingerprint card along with some form from the battery commander or XO. Things are likely different these days but I would imagine that with computers things would speed right along. It was the TS clearances that usually took some time. I still remember the FBI visiting my parents and some of my neighbors. That was funny.
