I think stop loss is no longer in force so you would probably be left in rear detachment.

1. Depends on the length of the deployment. 2. Up to your chain of command as to which they do. 3. Under normal deployment standards- your unit and you would already know about a deployment and be in the train up stage,

I don't see what the big deal is, with being deployed after your ETS. Your pay won't stop, if your unit and Finance can change your ETS date before you deploy. If it does stop, life will suck for a while, but you will get "one big back-pay!" when you get back. Years ago, my brother was assigned to a stateside military hospital at Fort Ord (1985-88). They were so busy with day-to-day operations of the hospital and patents, they basically forgot about the soldier. He worked past his ETS by a few days, until he was informed by his Company 1SG, "Why are you still here?!" He was out-processed in a day and half. Back then, they had no TAP or SFL-TAP program.
