I was a big fan of the Blackhawks. There was no break in time. I put them on and it was like they were made for my feet. I wore the soles right off of them. They lasted me about 4 years. Beyond that, I like Bellevilles. It's really going to depend on what your feet like though. I recommend going to a Clothing sales or one of those tactical stores they often have at the PX and try a few on.

I wear the Danner boots that you can get at MCSS. I don't remember the model, but they are comfortable, and can be resoled. Worth the 200 out of your clothing allowance.

I always liked my Rockies. Not too expensive, very comfortable, didn't fall apart.
