When would sequence numbers be available for those who got selected on the recent E-8 list?

They are not going to publish sequence numbers it should be on your ERB now or very soon.

The sequence numbers are reportedly going to be based on DoR with an age tie breaker for this list instead of based on merit.

The information that I received was:
"BLUF: The FY18 MSG list sequence numbers were issued on DOR (and age if
needed to break a tie), NOT merit.
The original plan was to have the FY18 MSG list sequence numbers based on
merit (where you ranked ordered in the promotion board) but HRC was unable
to get the legal review and approval from the CSA and the Secretary of the
Army in time for the released of the list and did not want to hold up the
list because of that. I was briefed that HRCs plan is to have everything
complete (Legal review/Approval from CSA/SEC ARMY) in time for the FY19 SFC
List and all future list."
