What is a good franchise that is veteran friendly for ownership? Looking for low start-up cost, under 100K, or grants for disabled vets to start a business.

Try talking with Jim Mingey over at http://www.veteranscorp.org. You can also look into what your skill set might point you to. It may or may not be a franchise. Just be sure you know the pros and cons both ways before pulling the trigger.

You can read an article about starting a business at http://vetlaunched.com/hobby-job-business/. Other articles at http://www.vetlaunched.com may be of interest as well.

There are several but it depends on you. I am a franchise consultant who takes veterans through an accelerated search process every day and I would say that allot of the service based franchises are best suited. Most are home based requiring less in start up and they break even much quicker. Give me a call if you need some help or visit my web sites for some tools that may help.
