If not, I highly encourage you to find an organization to get involved with. I am a member of the FOP in our area. The most rewarding thing that we do all year is to take children who would normally not get a good Christmas shopping. The first year I participated in Shop with a Cop it changed my perception of giving. My children have never been without and therefore display an attitude of entitlement, but the children that have nothing and get this opportunity amaze with their sense of giving. When asked what they want. I have them ask for things for other people. Most of the time I drive home in tears because of their selflessness. This being said, please reach out to others if you are able. Happy Holidays!

We buy a large quanity of winter gloves and scarfs, and donate them to the local school for children that either don't have them or can't afford them.

Very good idea. I usually utilize the onetoday application. It reaches out multiple groups and people in need.
