would you happen to know anything about 3rd BN 393rd EN BEB. I am on orders to be an O/C/T for an AC/RC unit out there at Fort Hood and have no idea the location of the area in pertains to hood in order to look for a house or even what the job entails?

SFC, the address of our building is 761st Tank Battalion Ave. Fort Hood TX 76544. I forget the name of the gate but if you access Fort Hood on Tank Destroyer Blvd off of N Fort Hood Street and make the first right on 24th st and about a quarter mile up on the left it’s a huge building you can’t miss. Hope this helps. When do you report? Who is your sponsor I can make sure they reach out to you. Take care

My report date is OCT 10th, I filled out my sponsorship form already as well but have not heard anything yet. I appreciate the help. My biggest question is where to buy a house being as I have never been to Hood.

If you don’t mind driving Temple, Ceder Park, if you want to live close I’d look at Harker Heights, stay away from copperas cove/Killeen.

Depending on where you will be working out of either north or south hood, if north hood stay in gatesville they are super pro military, if working out of south there's temple, belton, copperas cove and the outskirts of Killeen, try to find a gated apt complex in either Killeen or temple, I'm renting a house it's big and out in the mid of nowhere I like that no crime, look at the police blotter for each area and make a decision that way, one thing to keep in mind if your paying under about 600 a month it's probably not the safest place, one of my troops had a place like that and his place was broken into almost right away.

I googled it and found out that the unit is part 3rd Engineer Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division. If anyone here have better information, please help this Troop.
