How do I go about putting in a packet for Army Flight Medic?

I haven’t been able to get a good answer on this, but I enlisted in the regular army as a 68w. I am currently at JBSA for AIT, I am a nationally registered paramedic with experience as a full time firefighter/Paramedic prior to enlistment. I do not know the best route to put a packet in for the flight medic program or if it’s possible to do so straight from AIT? Also would I have to go through the army’s paramedic program?

You will have to be a medic for at least a year and then put in a packet. I am leaving next month for Flight paramedic, also just a heads up from my understanding it is difficult to get in the course when you are already a paramedic. My buddy is a paramedic and will have to take the paramedic portion over again. This will more than likely happen to you once you have graduated from ait and its been at least a year and once you put your packet in.

Talk to 68W branch or hell even go talk to the guys over at the flight paramedic program. Either of those sources can probably give you the updated flight paramedic packet. You’ll only have to do critical care, so that’s nice.
