My ETS date is October 5th. I put in two leave packets in, the first one is for 60 days. The second one is for 24 days, which would be my terminal leave. My NCO’s keep telling me it won’t work, or to sell most of my leave. But I’m honestly just trying to get out. I have a great paying job waiting for me back home. And the sooner I can start the better. Which is why I’m hoping my leave packets get approved.

You should be able to take up to the total amount of leave you have saved, to include any leave you will earn up until your ETS date. However, the length approved will be subject to the commander's discretion (which is based on any mission requirements).

I have known people who took 60+ days for terminal leave, but they were stationed overseas at the time and had to return to the States.
If you are married, I would suggest against selling your leave because you will lose out on a lot of money, such as BAH. You may be well off financially already, but you never know. Stuff happens. That extra chunk of money could come in handy.

Is the 24 day one your permissive tdy? Otherwise why would you split them up?

My commander said the max leave days is 60 days or else it has to go up to brigade. So I did 60 ordinary days, sign back in, do my 10 days of clearing, then sign back out on my terminal leave which would be the 24 days.
