So I decided to try to re-enter the navy as a reservist after 10 years of being out. I got out with a re-1 on my 214 with severence pay due to an injury. I am a full time firefighter and have overcome my injury. I submitted my package to meps with all the medical documents well over a month ago. My recruiter is terrible. He does not return calls or text messages. To say I am frustrated is putting it lightly. Any suggestions of how to handle to situation or do I need to continue to remain patient? I can't understand what the hold up is. Does meps really take this long in deciding if a person can come up for a entry physical?

If you're within driving distance, you can always stop by the recruiter's office for a visit. I'm sure he's very busy, but sometimes sitting on someone's desk is a wake up call to refocus on you especially if he's not returning calls/texts. Also, he could be on leave since the holidays are here.

It sounds like the good old fashioned military bureaucracy, PO2 Anthony Gick. Patience is a virtue.
