Did you receive FSA (Family Seperation Pay) while in basic training or AIT? I did not and I'm curious if that was actually right. I've had others tell me they were paid it. As far as I can tell there isn't an Army Regulation that said you don't, but there's nothing that says you do, it's just a little vague.

FSA is not automatically paid out, you have to go to S1 and get paperwork which must be signed by your commander.

Family separation is generally reserved for dual expenses. You have no expenses while in Trainjng. It is not likely but it cannot hurt to ask, thank you for your service.

Ask for back pay. Show them your orders. Also find out if finance considers you are married.
