Am I entitled to VA benefits/compensation after only 1 year of service if I get medically discharged?

Depends. If the condition is something that was not pre-existing then probably. You will figure all of that out during the Med-board process.

Be sure to get and keep copies of ALL your medical records while in service, after you are out anything in "official records " can be gotten but it takes time.

Are you currently getting medboarded? IF so, you might want to start the VA process now.
If you have a service connected disability, you should get a rating and will be entitled to treatment for those service connected conditions.

I meet with my pcm next month to start the process. I have severe knee osteoarthritis which has limited me quite a bit, so I'm assuming that will be some rating just wasn't sure
