Looking to Re-Class to 31K. Any information is appreciated.

I'm currently on my Second enlistment with an ETS of June 2016.
My MOS is 68J which has been over strength since i've joined.
Out of all the other jobs i've researched i'm most interested in the 31K. I love dogs and i have an interest in Law enforcement as well.
My biggest questions....
What will i need in my re-class packet?
How hard is it to find a Class seat?
Does anyone have a POC to get a class seat?
My career counselor is currently on leave so thats why i've turned to Rally Point to get some insight.

I’m also looking into 31K and my suggestion is go down to the post MP stanchion and ask around see if they have a K9 PLT or however they organize their unit and express your concerns find out the good bad what soldiers think of the job as a 31K. Also ask your career counselor. They can have some insight or can point you the right direction.
